| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Parking for a few vehicles at the trailhead for the (Lower) Manning Trail, off of Welton Falls Road. (A higher-clearance vehicle than ours could drive 0.9 miles further, up Old Dicey Road, to the trailhead for the Back 80 Loop. There are a couple of steep, eroded, rutty sections of road that might scrape bottom on some passenger vehicles.) |

| Comments: |
We hadn't been up this way to Mowglis Mountain for a few years, but the last time we did this section of the Elwell Trail (a few weeks back?), it was brushy (in a couple of places, the corridor was completely grown in), full of debris and deadfall, and had several old blowdowns that required some time/effort to go over or around.
Since that time, someone has been in and brushed this section (thank you!), cleaned up the deadfall, removed several blowdowns, and those blowdowns that are still there have been completely de-limbed and cleaned up, so that they require no time or effort really to go over or, in the case of one large one, under.
This section of trail is quite lush and bright green right now, after the rain from the past day. A real treat, with only some crabby, shouty red squirrels as company.
