Comments
Comments: Picking up Cedar Brook Trail by traversing from Hancock to Lincoln Woods. Cedar Brook Trail a nice walk to height of land between Hancock and Hitchcock. Once we dropped down the trail was wet with running water. Found the old Camp 24 logging site and saw many artifacts, very interesting. Once trail levels out, it is on an old logging RR bed until it reaches the East Side/Wilderness Trail junction. Saw no one after Hancock cuttoff and not until the campsite at Franconia Brook. East Side Trail is an old logging RR so the footbed is good except at the washouts and stream crossings. The last 2.5 miles from the campsite is a gravel access road that could be mountain biked. Saw a rescue operation at Lincoln Woods when were leaving.
