Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: At the Snows Mountain ski area parking lot. Plenty of room today.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: I avoided the major crossing on CP by doubling back on the loop. The major crossing of NCT was tricky and I didn't attempt it. Water was high and fast today.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One blowdown on CP, two on NRT, and one on SMT. All are large and all look like they've been there for quite some time.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Sure, but I would leash them near the cascades, as there are some big drop offs.
Bugs
Bugs: Only a few.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing.

Comments
Comments: Some redlining in the Waterville Valley area today. All trails were wet from recent rain with areas of minor mud and slick rocks / roots.

CP is a real gem once it leaves the village and becomes a footpath in the woods. The cascades were on full display today with plenty of water. This is really a beautiful trail.

NRT appears to be lightly used and was muddy in the middle. I couldn't complete the last section of the trail (Livermore Trail end) due to the high crossing, so I'll get it from the other side.

ERT was a moderate climb up to the top of the Snows Mountain chair lift.

GPT looks semi-abandoned at this point and forgotten about. Only a quarter mile, but a rough descent over boulders to SMT. The former outlook ledge is completely overgrown. Nothing to see here.

The short segment of SMT I was on was straightforward, though a bit brushy.

It was nice to explore these trails I've been meaning to get to for a while. Cascade is definitely the best of the bunch!
