Parking at open gate with sign indicating only Authorized Vehicles can go further. Plenty of good (firm) parking at this gate. |

Nothing significant. Few crossings; easily crossed |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few cross-trail blowdowns. Nothing major. This section of the AT is in great shape. The cairns on the ledges are small and at times subtle. Sprucewoods section is starting to grow in a little bit but still minor at this point. |

Very nice views to the southwest of Smarts Mtn and Holts Ledge. Cardigan in the distance. Trail is in great shape. |
