Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: If you're hiking from the Tripoli Rd. trailhead, get there early if you want a spot in the actual parking area, or else you'll have to park roadside. Also saw some heavy machinery and a cleared area at the trailhead lot. Don't know for sure what work is happening there, but I think it could be an expansion of the parking area.

Comments
Comments: Aside from the maintenance notes, much of the trail was very wet, with a lot of mud and wet rock. One stretch of trail near the summit was nearly completely covered in standing water. Prepare to get wet or muddy to some degree if you do this hike after a good rain. The wet conditions didn't really make the hike more difficult (at least for me), and ultimately, this was still a scenic and relatively easy, if rocky, hike to a great summit view.
