Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Sawyer River Road is open! That was a nice surprise. Some heavy equipment was parked off to the side so I don't know if it'll stay open, but the road looks decent. Parking lot was half full when we got there at 8:30 am. Packed when we left at 3:00 pm.

Comments
Comments: Pretty quick hike up Signal Ridge to Mount Carrigain. Open road was a great surprise - I was planning on the 4 additional miles of hiking. Very easy trail and hike right now. Water crossing was easy, mud was very minor and avoidable, some wet rocks/trail but also very do'able. Mushrooms everywhere. Plenty of people out on the trail (and their pets). Was quite cool on the top of the fire tower with the breeze. Actually needed to re-layer after 10 minutes. Autumn is right around the corner, I guess. Only wish the overcast and cloudy skies cleared some for better views.
