Comments
Comments: Don't let the map fool you; this may look short, but it is not easy. You may get there quickly, but right before the small cave, the trail is extremely gravelly with challenging footing. I noticed there were a few herd paths going through some leaf covered ground, but that was slippery as well. The cave was nice; not a cavern by any means, but something you don't see everyday in the Whites. The trail continues to bring you to an expansive ledge, nice views of the Saco River, Bartlett, Attitash. Be very careful descending the gravelly area. I'm not going to complain about it; this place is on private land and the owner is generous enough to let people go there. This would be a good hike when you only have a few hours to spend.

Forgot to mention in my Langdon report. Near the parking lot there is a grave. A doctor who died young (33 years old in the 1870s) is buried there, he had done a lot for the town of Bartlett. There is an iron fence around the grave.
