In great shape all things considered and bog bridges in base of col were intact, though it was a little brushy in sections. |

First time in Evans Notch and so loved the views from East Royce. W. Royce is pretty grown in with trees though there are a few OK easterly views near the summit; not sure it belongs on the 52WAV any longer. Peeked through the trees at the W. Royce summit to see the pilings from the former fire tower.
Saw four parties all day. Greasy, green mossy rocks made for some slips on descent but mostly dry trail everywhere. |
