Comments
Comments: Trails were generally dry, except for some areas of mud and running water in the usual places.

Took the abandoned Garfield Pond Trail from one of the top switchbacks of the Garfield Trail over to the pond and to the Garfield Ridge Trail. Some mucky areas, as usual. A few newer blowdowns adjacent to the pond have made this harder to push through. Very beautiful area; would be nice to see a sustainable trail reopened, to create a nice loop over the summit.

Some hobblebush turning vivid orange and red. Noted some birch in the Pemi have already dropped their leaves, but not seeing much in terms of color yet.
