| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We got there before the lot filled up, and found cars parked along the road later on. A forest ranger and a volunteer had a tent set up at the trailhead and they were nice about helping people. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail |

| Recommended Equipment: |

|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
The one crossing was easy after much dry weather. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The trail is very well maintained, which is important because it's so popular. The ledges and trail were completely dry for all practical purposes. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Nice meeting all you GOOD DOGS, especially twelve week old Australian shepherd Indiana, who was enjoying a traildoggie training mission from the comfort of a backpack. |

| Comments: |
The Girls With Pearls chose the Welch-Dickey Loop for Ladies' Hiking Weekend 23. It was a no-brainer because we had great views of these mountains from our nearby rental townhouse, which we could see from the ledges. There were a lot of people on the route and the weather was most cooperative. |
