Comments
Comments: Wanted to explore this backcountry ski run in the non-snow season. Too spicy (upper reaches) for my snowboarding taste, but, fun to imagine. I liked the lower slide - lower part is sweet. Middle section was super-sketchy - one fall, that's all!!!! Beautiful wet granite shelves. At times I was on all fours to avoid standing on anything wet and slippery, even in the morning sun - must be springs along the slide as the lower section was completely dry. About 3000' I went into the woods "for good" but eventually found another herd path to a nice stepped-out upper slide which took me to about 50 yards from the ridge. Took far longer than expected to ascend this way - didn't want to descend it so i took the trail back to my car.
