Well we woke up from the hut and hiked up-to Madison for sunrise which was pretty nice! we had breakfast at the hut and then we did a little loop to grab airline cut off. Then we headed out, I needed parapet trail which everyone sounds like they hate it but I will say was pretty awesome for views. It was the beginning of our day so it wasn't hell like people usually get for the end of middle of the day. Osgood was fun but very rocky! We met a nice thru-hiker (as we met a few at the hut too) who needed a ride into gorham and he had stayed at the hut the night before with us and did a work for stay. So we met him back down in the lot after I grabbed the tentsite as well as the osgood cut off trail (redlining life). We made it down nice and early and brought him to walmart and a chinese buffett!great two days out in the northerns! |
