Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No issues.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One stepover blowdown climbing to the summit from the west side. The new relocation is not yet blazed, but is clearly signed. Lots of erosion on the Jeep road portion.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Sure.
Bugs: A few.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: One child's plastic toy and a Red Bull can, presumably not related. I carried both out.
Comments: This was a trip to walk the rechristened and renamed Tower Loop Trail, which replaces the former loop which was comprised of two different trails. The western half of the loop also has a brand new 0.2 mi. relocation which swings around the site where the landowner is building a house at the base of the mountain. On the eastern side, the trail also crosses a new private road leading to the house. A detailed description of what is going on is available at the trailhead kiosk, which has been moved to block off the relocated portion. Aside from the relocation, this loop trail follows the same route as the old one.

Mainly damp trail today from morning rains. Not too many views from the ground this time of year, you need to climb the fire tower.
