Comments
Comments: The forecast was for the drizzle to stop at 8am, but it continued until early afternoon. Seemed like a good day for CITC trails, as they're mostly wide and clear. Worked out good. Usually 7-8 miles is plenty enough to wipe me out, but CITC trails are so easy I managed around 14 miles of redlining today.
The rain brought out the colors really nicely, and in particular the vernal pool (where the High Ridge Trail and the Black Snout Trail connect by a .3 mile connector, .68 East of Mt. Shaw) was really pretty. Brought my little winter thermos of hot coffee this time; that was good in this soggy weather.
