| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Being the height of Fall Foliage the parking area was almost full. I counted sixteen cars when I arrived about noon. Comfortable capacity is about twenty cars. This parking area serves three trailheads so not everyone (thankfully) was going up Potash. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
The crossing of Downes Brook near the start of the hike was fairly easy, but could be difficult in higher water. I'm glad I had hiking poles for balance. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The trail is in perfect condition. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
I met a hiker descending and she had three friendly dogs. It's a good dog hike. |
