Comments
Comments: Made a nice loop with a short out and back to grab East Quarry. Trails were a mixed bag of dry and wet with a fair amount of mud to deal with. Reed Road Trail was brushy in areas but not as bad now that the foliage is starting to die off. Quarry Trail was in good shape with a couple brushy areas near the Reed Road Trail junction. Old Clough Road was very wet and muddy up high but dried up as we descended. The "bushwhack" between Old Clough Road and Reed Road Trail was pretty straight forward following a heard path along the old logging/woods roads. It was pretty brushy but we push through without any trouble. Might be trying with warmer weather and bees. Still some good color in the trees with some leaves starting to fall.
