Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: The Agonquin Trail could be pretty tough for a lot of dogs on a few scrambles. Lighter dogs could be lifted easily. Experienced mountain dogs comfortable with some scrambling would have no issues with it I think. We saw 8 Dogs on the Smarts Brook Trail. The one who was actually hiking four miles up trail was a magnificent, fearsome looking beast who appeared to be more wolf than dog. Thank you for not jumping on me. The other seven dogs prancing around the cross country ski section were all happy looking pups.

Comments
Comments: The Agonquin Trail is fantastic! So many awesome views the entire way up in all directions. Great scrambling-the book calls one scramble difficult but we found it fairly easy. Super windy albeit incredibly awesome day in the Sandwich Wilderness redlining with Dan, who broke ANOTHER trekking pole today. If you know anyone offering quality trekking lessons please contact Dan at Imakepoorpoleplacementdecisions.net. Also, if anyone likes to hike fast I might be looking for a new hiking partner soon if Dan doesn't shape up-stay tuned.
