Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Park at camp Merrowvista by the farmhouse. Sign in at farmhouse. Probably should return by 5pm as farmhouse closes, and you won't be able to sign back out. I guess in that case you might appear stranded when they come in the next morning.

Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Mt Flagg trail is in pretty good condition, where the blazes are lacking, red tape made up for it. Gorilla trail is illegal to maintain, at least on parts of it. Despite faded blazes (many blazes peeling off white birch paper) and blowdowns, the trail was not as bad as expected.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: There's some ledge on the top of Mt. Flagg and both trails get into some big boulder navigation in spots.

Comments
Comments: Camp kids had broken in the couple inches of snow on Mt Flagg. The Gorilla trail had more snow and no one had been out there. I lost the trail again and again, but it never quite became impossible to find the next blaze, so I kept at it, until I finally bagged Shaw.

AWWW EE AW EE AWWWW EE AW EE AWWWWW!!!

The Gorilla Trail is in the bag!
