Fabulous hike - well marked and maintained trail. I used snowshoes past the Cohos Trail junction - which alleviated problems with worrying about poor footing in the boulder area (since I couldn't see the footing under the snow). I did have to take snow shoes on and off several times on the ascent up and down North Percy Trail in areas that needed my shoes to get up steep sections. The ledges were perhaps easier to get up because of the great traction of snow shoes. Never saw another person the entire trip. |
