Comments
Comments: All hikers (4) I met were coming down, all barebooting or with microspikes. So I ditched my snowshoes. The trail had a solid snow cover after the fourth switchback. With the snow being soft it was easy to manage without any traction. If Thursday will bring only rain than hikers might only bring spikes with them if doing Garfield this weekend. When I got up to the summit I was amazed to see a vole come up to me, crawl across my boot and even up my gaiters and then pick up the crumbs from my granola bar; amazing.
