| Comments: |
The Hale trail was easy for the first mile, then very wet then significant snow the last 1/2 mile to the summit. Packed down enough that snow shoes were not needed. Bare booting was fine too, but some would want micro spikes. A little ice on Lend A Hand but avoidable if one is very careful. With some colder temperatures the ice will form very quickly. Lots of thin ice over mud. The Twin Way below Zealand pond was very dry in some sections, thick mud in others, as this trail regularly goes. |
