 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
I *think* it was on Martha's Mile about .25 from the summit that in quick succession there was a blowdown to walk around, one to crawl under, and one to step over. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
fine. with one exception...the short steep ice covered 5 foot drop after leaving Owl's Head. we used a rope to control the descent of the pup so she wouldn't try to leap and injure herself. worked wonderfully. |

 | Comments: |
perfect winter shakedown hike. it was very frostbitey atop Owl's Head, but no wind on Martha. No views either. everything was socked in. :( Micros were needed for the ice coated rocks and ledges. recent sticky snow fall was about an inch. |
