Comments: Kings Highway (old road), ATV trail, woods road, bushwhack

From the parking spot on Kings Highway, we followed the heavily graveled logging road, walking right by the fact that the (old) Kings Highway woods road went straight at the first bend. With our heads bent during the climb, we completely missed it. Once up in the logging area, we followed ATV tracks SE'ly heading in the direction we wanted to go. After a short bit, we dropped down (easterly) towards the peak, crossing a woods road that we would later take out. The whack uphill to Morgan Pond Peak was short, and the summit was recognized. On the way out we dropped to the unnamed woods road (just west of the peak along the Giles St. Forest boudary line), and followed it north to Kings Highway. Took KH west back to our cars, seeing how we had missed it with the logging activity. Under an hour RT. Hunters are out!
