3rd and final redline of the day. don't underestimate this short loop hike. there are rocks, ledges, roots, up and downs. there was a trace amount of snow, and it was well packed down from many feet, but the trail is sun deprived and the frozen dirt was quite slick. had to be choosy about foot placement in the slickest areas. enjoyed the sun drenched artist's bluff all to ourselves for ten minutes, though the snow making machines at Cannon and highway noise was a bit distracting. |
