Comments
Comments: Snow and ice now at the trail head albeit thin. Where there was mud last week it is now frozen hard. Put on trail spikes at mile 1 and kept it on the rest of the way. Above the hut and across the river the snow started to get deep. Trail was well packed in the entire way, snow shoes not needed at all. Across the ridge south of Zeaclif Pond the trail was narrow from snow drifts on the side of the packed track. Slab ice formed where ever there was a steep slope. Winter seems in a rush to get to the mountains this November.
