Hancock Trailhead parking lot was not plowed and had about 6" sloppy snow. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Many stream crossings, some very dicey, and the water runs directly down the trail in many places. The river crossing where the Pemi East Side Trail crosses Cedar Brook (44.1059, -71.5528) is very wide and difficult. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail conditions on the Hancock Notch Trail and Pemi East Side Trail were good...6" to 8" of snow on the Hancock North Trail and trace amounts on Pemi East Side. Some downed trees on these trails, but completely manageable and there had been some traffic on these trails.
Cedar Brook Trail was a total mess...50+ downed trees which required you either go over or belly crawl under, no option to go around due to dense woods on either side. No one had been on these trails in a few days at least. Very slow going and wet. |

We saw a couple of hikers with dogs, they seemed to be doing well with their 4-paw drive! |

We were a Boy Scouts troop hiking from the Hancock Trailhead parking lot to the Franconia Brook Tentsite. Very slow going on the Cedar Brook Trail, but we finally made the tentsite around 6:30pm...the last 2 hours were with headlamps. Epic trip. |
