| Comments: |
Went up Carrigain today, and got within a mile of the summit. Broke trail the entire time through deep snow, which made for slow-going. Ultimately chose to turn back to avoid hiking too long in the dark. Saw no one else all day, and snow remains deep and unpacked - snowshoes are essential. Additionally, the gate on Sawyer River Road is now closed, so budget time to hike into Signal Ridge Trailhead. |
