Comments
Comments: The reason We had planned to bag the Kinsman (for nurseA’s 48’s) in Sunday, but we made the mistake by taking the Kinsman Pond Trail (for some redlining). Mistake, because I had forgotten my snowshoes at home - and nurseA’s snowshoes we’re not adequate for the Whites.

The trail started deceptively easy, but got extremely difficult, especially climbing up those rocky, frozen brooks. By the time we had reached Kinsman Pond, we were trudging through snowdrifts 2 and half to 3 feet deep! If you like a challenge, go for it! But I wouldn’t recommend.

But if you just want the summits, Cascade Brook Trail and Fishin’ Jimmy would be a pleasurable hike. It was nicely packed, but I’d still recommend micro spikes (although it could’ve done barefooted).

Safe hiking!
