Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Flume lot is plowed although a fresh few inches packed down may make it difficult for 2WD or rear wheel drive vehicles may have trouble getting up to the closest spots to the Trailhead. Only a couple other vehicles there at 7:45 thus morning.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Ice - Blue, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Unpacked Powder
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Light Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Most just trickling although a couple lower down on Indian Head were iced over pretty well. May not hold through the change in weather though.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Nothing of note. I could t believe how many blue blazes there are on any Pemigewasset; seemed like every 5th tree
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Frankie has a great time. Perfect shirt hike for doggos.
Bugs
Bugs: Huh?
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: A doggie clean up bag holder fell off my pack. I’m sorry(if it’s any consolation they are all empty)

Comments
Comments: Awesome quick hike this morning. Going up Mt Pemigewasset trail things are very well broken out and consolidated. Coming down Indian Head it’s nots as compacted hut still broken. Could’ve barebooted the whole thing but it would have been annoying with the couple three inches of powder on the trail. Spikes from just about 0.5 miles in were perfect, snowshoes would’ve been overkill. Summit ledge is completely packed down and could become dangerously slick if it glazed over. Cold temps at the start, +13, warmed significantly up high in the sun making dressing difficult. Cooled off again coming down but the sweat was already flowing. All in all a nice chance to get out and work off some turkey.
