There was a group cutting a few small blowdowns on the way down. Very thankful for their commitment to maintaining the trail. |

It was a warm and beautiful day to be out in this winter wonderland. We started out bare boots but due to some drifting put the snowshoes on quickly and kept them on the rest of the trip. There were a fair amount of people out there today and by the time we went down the trail was pretty packed down and becoming like mashed potatoes. We had originally discussed doing the loop but it was not broken out yet so we decided to go back down the way we came. May try that another day when we have more time and energy. |
