Joined with a few other groups to become a group of 10. We broke trail from almost the parking lot all the way in. There's now a solid track all the way in and depending on what the weather does it may stick around for a while. The bushwhack is pretty solid. We rejoined the trail a little further up than usual, but the route is solid and easy. The main stream crossing was pretty easy. The section between the stream and Davis Path had a lot of open water/soft snow. We did our best to avoid the worst sections. The Davis path section is in pretty good shape, although a trio of barebooters had followed us in and put a bunch of postholes in the trail. We politely encouraged them to wear snowshoes and not trash the trail for everyone else... |
