Comments
Comments: Snow is relatively shallow at trail head, but thinking snow would be much deeper at summit I wore snow shoes. I encountered many other hikers so snow was packed pretty well. Snow was deeper at higher elevations but still maybe only 12" and deeper in open areas where drifting was happening. I switched to my winter pack. This was good day to test out my winter gear and identify stuff missing and pack set-up.
