Comments
Comments: Most folks using microspikes. Opted for snowshoes until coming down on Toll Road. Someone had barefooted Halfway House and Monte Rosa, with some postholes resulting. We broke trail on Royce, Smith Bypass, and Fairy Spring (with a few work-arounds at rock slabs). Attempt up Smith Summit unsuccessful - trail difficult to find, obscured by low hanging branches with lots of snow clinging on them. Tons of deer trails.

With rain coming suspect conditions will degrade quickly and that ice will be more prominent in the coming week.
