| Comments: |
A great, clear day to traverse up Liberty Springs Trail and down Osseo Trail with Joyce and Theresa. Thanks to those who packed these trails out last weekend and the rain followed by cold temps, the trails are generally well-consolidated and we were able to use spikes all day, carried our snowshoes. A hard crust has formed on top of much of the trail and we descended the steep upper Osseo Trail with care, but spikes were adequate. There is more exposed ground on lower Liberty Springs Trail after the rain. Great views all day. We were appreciative of the hard work it took to break out Osseo Trail; a deep trench in places! So much snow already. |
