Comments
Comments: Trail conditions varied. On western side of loop trail packed down by boots only. Very postholed. On way to East Ledge more packed down, snowshoes could be used, but trail went around East Ledge, the actual East Ledge we reached by postholing through unbroken snow, then we joined up with the relatively smooth detour trail. The rest of the eastern leg was broken out but not packed down. We had the mtn to ourselves but met another couple on their way up the eastern leg. They also were wearing microspikes. Snowshoes can be used on a lot of the trail, but we didn't bring them, spikes were OK.
