Comments
Comments: Very cold but clear and sunny day on Cabot. We drove past Appalachia on the way to Cabot and saw only 3 cars in the lot and then found around 10 cars along the road at York Pond trailhead...not many days you see more people on Cabot than Appalachia! Trail was in great shape, nicely packed from trailhead to summit, and the only postholes were from a moose on Kilkenny Ridge trail. Mel wore snow shoes because she insists on leaving the trail behind her as smooth as a baby's bum, but I wore spikes. Either were an acceptable choice; we saw a dozen people or so, and it was evenly split. A few blowdowns up at higher elevations. Another great day in the woods!
