Comments
Comments: Ski slopes were well groomed as we carefully ascended Polecat staying well aware of and respecting the downward flow of boarders and gliders. Bare boots or light traction recommended. Across the ridge was 4-6 inches of new snow since last trekkers. Some drifts were 1.5 feet. I am aware of at least 6 folks who traversed (snowshoeing) the ridge today with 2 doing an out/back from D to A so the trail for now is padded down pretty well. Dropping off Wildcat A into the notch was broken out in snowshoes by us and supposedly further tracked by 2 more folks. Using snowshoes for descending the first mile of Nineteen Mile Brook made sense, then bare booting or light traction is sufficient.

Happy trails or for your pets, happy tails.
