Comments
Comments: Zealand rd is well packed due to lots of foot and snowmobile traffic. We barebooted the road walk with no issues. Zealand trail all the way to the hut is also well traveled with a nice hard crust. It was smooth sailing all the way to and from the hut. Although there was still a hard monorail going up to Zeacliff, the snowpack is deeper so prepare to beaten up and dumped on by low hanging branches. Snow had drifted around on the section between Zeacliff and Zealand and filled in the previously broken out trail. Traction not a problem, but deep powder drifting around makes snowshoes a must from this point on. Otherwise you will suffer the same fate as the barebooters just before us.

PS. Stop by the hut and try one of Carl's amazing chocolate chocolate chip cookies
