The road is not open to snowmobiles yet, but there is a solid boot track which is easy to bare boot. This morning there was one set of snowshoe tracks out and back on the trail. Thank you to the one responsible for the heroic work. 5 more people went out and back today in snowshoes, so there is a well defined track. The track follows the old trail bypassing both relocations. Snow shoes are still needed since the snow is still quite soft. The trench is shallow for much of the way and will disappear with a modest snowfall. There are a number of leaners in the switchbacks, but they are relatively easy to go around or through. |
