Yesterday I secured permission to park at the Yankee Smokehouse. The manager was super nice, even suggested parking near a window where they could see my car. |

Hiked up the ski lift line for the old Mt. Whittier ski area. The top 1/3 or it proved much too treacherous, so I moved into the woods on the left side and bushwhacked up the rest of the way. Some high anxiety moments for this novice bushwhacker; I burned so much adrenaline I think I might have inverted my pituitary. Has anyone invented crampons for your knees and palms yet?!?! Yeesh!!
Cool views from the top. Figured out a different way down the backside of the mountain, to redline some more of the Trail Bandit map, popping out on Gilman Valley Road. Walked back up Rt. 25 to collect my prize, a steaming hot pig sandwich! ReeeeeEEEEEEEEk!! Rit rit rit rit |
