Hiked as far as Mt. Monroe Spur in order to meet my Presi-traversing friend. :)
Crawford Path up to Pierce is a hardpacked snowy sidewalk. I wore spikes. With an inch or two of new snow and some drifts, I wore snowshoes from that point on, but they were not absolutely necessary. Lots of critter tracks between P and E. Lovely visit to my favorite non-Presidential Presidential peak, Mt. Franklin. Midweek hiking does not suck. |
