Comments
Comments: At approximately 3000 ft. (judging from outlook SSW to Moats, Chocorua), earlier hikers tried various routes. I believe proper trail heads down to left (WEST/NORTH) and around summit cone. Into deeper snow and tracks never snow-shoe packed made extreme drifting and postholing. Enjoyed lunch, dogs played in sun, and made no attempt to continue further. "Luna" signed name in snow. Suspect snowshoes would be foot traction of choice to summit cone. We enjoyed casual walk out with micro-spikes and poles for this human, four on the floor for dogs. Bluebird day with crisp air and great views south from ledges.
