| Comments: |
In ten years of hiking Pierce every winter, today was unquestionably the prettiest and most awesome summit experience. The approach to tree-line was stunning with the heavily laden trees and views across the Presies. Above tree-line, the views to Mt Washington were glorious and the entire summit is swathed in sparkly snow and ice. The windy conditions added to the experience.
The trail is in good shape. It's still solid so spikes were all that was needed today. |
