Lots of tiny “crossings†with water running everywhere. Hop carefully to keep your feet dry. The bridge at the Cascade was coated with glare ice, traction was absolutely mandatory for those half-dozen steps. |

A few recent-looking blowdowns, one requiring a go-around. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
No problem on most of the trail, but in places with ice, one slip could really hurt a dog. |

| Lost and Found: |
Found a glove frozen solid, hanging in a tree. Brought it to the trailhead sign. |
|

| Comments: |
Plenty of ice though mostly avoidable. Traction mandatory to get across the bridge at the cascade. Plenty of water everywhere, too. |
