Comments
Comments: Overall the snowpack had firmed up and was reasonably solid. Conditions on 19-Mile alternated between hard-packed snow/ice and open water. Plenty of open water and numerous blowdowns on lower part of Carter Dome Trail. Significant postholes from a barebooter on Saturday when the snow was soft that continue the entire length of Carter Dome Trail. We could generally avoid falling into these deep pits. 2 in our group used spikes all day. 1 was happier in snowshoes most of the day, except for 19-Mi Br Tr used spikes.

Great views and strong winds on Mt. Hight. Especially good Presi views from the ridge to Carter Dome due to the deep snowpack
