Parking/Access Road Notes: Small paved lot at the end of Belknap Mountain Road is pretty clear, some snow on the edges. Room for 6-8 cars if parked inwards instead of pull over style. I started this today being the first car just before 10:00 am. Three cars arrived just as I was finishing around 12:15 pm. One couple was heading to Swett Mountain.

Comments
Comments: Grabbed 7 of 12 for Belknap Range Hiker Patch. Around 21F at start shortly before 10:00 am. Temp ranged between 23F and 28F for the duration of the hike. Despite the short altitude of Whiteface, the breeze at the open summit made it a touch chilly. Sun was out through some filtered clouds ahead of next storm system. I recommend carrying Microspikes, however I did not use mine. I think it's a good idea because everybody has a different comfort level. A few ice flows and some hard snow/ice patches but you can manage around them if you take careful steps. Otherwise the trail is bare and fairly dry with frozen leaves. Terrific views from the summit. A great hike with "bang for your buck" views.
