 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty at the end of Sawyer River Road. Road was firm with lots of frozen ruts. |

 | Surface Conditions: |
Ice - Blue, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Snow/Ice - Monorail (Stable) |

 | Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Old trail broken out so significant stream crossing was doable by crossing on some rocks, then submerging waterproof boots a little in the water. We kept microspikes on and had no issues with balling up after stream crossings. A couple people used trash bags to cross. |

A beautiful bluebird day for this hike. Beginning of trail was firm with some open sections, and higher up had more uneven frozen terrain. Followed the old path that was broken out. Used microspikes the entire day. Winds decreased and temperatures rose, as we celebrated Kristy's (Gypsy Hiker) Grid finish on the summit!! Congratulations to her - this is quite an accomplishment! Saw only a couple other groups out today. |
