Was able to cross first crossing but turned around at second crossing. Water was too high and no stable ice available to bridge or help us across. |

| Comments: |
Barefooted until Black Pond Trail where we changed to spikes. No tracks before us in the 1-2†of fresh snow. Followed previous trench on the Black Pond bushwhack but lost it and ended up close to stream. Did better on return. Was able to rock hop first crossing but did not attempt second crossing. We just did not see a safe way across so turned around and hiked back. A nice 13 mile walk in the woods on a nice day. |
