Comments
Comments: Did the loop counterclockwise, late start, but banged in out in 5 hrs 15 min with a bunch of stops going up FWT for pics of the amazing waterfalls. Microspikes the entire way, new snowshoes went for the ride.

Amazing day! Going up FWT was def tough but trail conditions were generally great. Monorail with some patchy ice. Franconia Ridge Trail was mostly bare rock and crusted snow with a little ice. Going down Greenleaf was a bit sketchy in one of 2 sections with hard packed/crusted snow on a steep decent. Pay attention to the cairns. After a sharp left (pay attention) is where the steep/slippery section is. Side stepped but still slid once or twice. Definitely doable with spikes but with tired legs, crampons could help....especially going down. OBP was a cake walk...got down from the hut in an hour....knees sore today tho.

There are a few post holes going up FWT and coming down Lafayette but they're all avoidable very easily.
