| Dog-Related Notes: |
Heard a major dogfight going on in the woods as we crossed the tracks to the trailhead, but the drama was over by the time we got there. Encountered a few dogs on the trail, although there was "evidence" of many more. Note to dog owners: when Fido drops a deuce right next to the treadway, maybe you could take a stick and fling it into the woods? Nobody likes hiking through a minefield of frozen turds. |

| Lost and Found: |
Several gloves at the kiosk where the trail splits off to Willard, one NE Patriots hat on a trailside stump at about 2900 feet. |

| Comments: |
Very nice trail conditions today - super smooth. The steep upper section and Avalon Spur were a bit slicker and many people had stepped off into the softer stuff. Still not bad though. |
